Warranty Terms
| DBA Accent Technology (Custom Trading Computers Inc.) ("AT") products and services ("Product"). "We/Us/Our" means the Custom Trading Computers, Inc. owners, employees, affiliates, partners and companies. AT warranties that the hardware components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. You are responsible for your own diagnostics of the products. Digilent NetFPGA Board Warranty Digilent may warranty the NetFPGA board if it becomes defective. Their normal standard warranty length for NetFPGA boards is 30 days. AT is not responsible for warranty claims for defective NetFPGA boards and is considered a seperate item from AT's warranty. Warranty Length Warranty length begins on the printed date of your sales invoice. The length of warranty is determined on the invoice and will be listed as an item on the invoice. Warranty Types We offer two warranty types. First is the standard warranty. Second is the limited warranty also known as hardware manufacturer (MFG) warranty. The differences are outlined below. Standard Warranty - Replacement Parts In the standard warranty AT will replace defective parts given that the defective part is returned to AT. All replacement parts require an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number from AT prior to shipping out any defective parts to us. We will issue the RMA number to you via e-mail once we approve the return. You are responsible for swapping out the part yourself. If the defective part is not shipped back to AT within 14 days, you are responsible to pay the full cost of the component. AT is not responsible for any damages stemming from improper installation of the replacement part. It is your responsibility to know how to safely work with the hardware you are replacing or have a qualified technician do the work on your behalf which is not covered in the warranty. There will never be any software RMA's issued due to the license agreements of each piece of software. AT is not responsible if you mis-use or misplace your original CD's or key codes. Limited Warranty - Replacement Parts In the limited warranty, also known as the manufacturer warranty, any warranty claims or assistance will be directed toward the manufacturer of the component that has gone defective. AT will assist during the listed time frame on the limited warranty to help the customer figure out what manufacturer to work with and their contact information. This warranty does not guarantee that the manufacturer will warranty or honor any warranty claims themselves as each component in the computer has their own set terms and warranties with respective manufacturers. Shipping Caused Damages Shipping damages can occur regardless of how the product is packaged. If there is major shipping damage (the computer will not even function), then please notify us immediately (within 48 hours) at info@REMOVEaccenttechnologyinc.com. We will contact the shipping carrier for insurance and/or claim purposes. If you fail to contact us within 48 hours after receiving a damaged shipment, the system and contents are your full responsibility. Limitation of Liability AT is not responsible for damages or costs that are the result of accidents, misuse, or abuse of your computer. Modifications, overclocking, BIOS or firmware updates, or repairs made to your system by anyone other than AT will void your warranty if not cleared through a AT representative. Because of the nature of the component, we will not warranty or replace power supplies. Any replacement or warranty services will have to be handled via the power supply's original manufacturer. Other damages that AT are not responsible for include: fire damage, water damage, electrical damage, normal wear and tear, theft of partial theft, droppage or tipping of computer system, smashed, crushed, physical damage, melted or any other acts, whether accident or intentional. AT liability shall never be greater than the 50% of the original purchase price (minus software price). AT is not responsible for any losses of data, loss of profit, loss of revenue, lose of use of the hardware system, loss of the use of related equipment, loss of "down-time" or purchaser's time, or complications that arise as a result of a computer failure or a delay in production or repair of your system. Termination of Warranty The warranty is not transferable to anyone other than the original purchaser and will be terminated if the computer changes ownership. Technical Support Technical issues are handled via email. Phone technical support is available by paid service request only. Our support e-mail address is support@REMOVEaccenttechnologyinc.com . International Orders and Warranty International orders are those that are not within the 50 states of the United States of America. We cannot guarantee successful delivery and a working product to international locations due to so many factors outside of our control. We stand behind the Freight terms INCOTERMS 2000 CIP which is a standard format which reads Title and risk pass to buyer when delivered to carrier by seller who pays transportation and insurance cost to destination. All freight & shipping involved will be the responsibility of the customer prepaid for any warranty if the order came with a warranty. Most international orders do not come with a warranty and if they do they will traditionally be a limited warranty. All costs associated with any type of warranty, whether with AT or through an original component manufacturer are the responsibility of the customer. AT cannot guarantee a specific turn-around time due to many factors including transit times, the amount of time to repair/replace from original manufacturer, etc.
